Hello

This is the Tutorial number 59 from the 100 Marathon Tutorial

Today i will show you how to create a digital text effect. You can see it in the following image

Open a new document in Photoshop
Size : 400 x400 Pixels
background color : White

Select Type Tool and write a word . I will chose the font Arial Black ( size 72 px ),

Now open a new document in Photoshop
Size 2 x 2 pixels, with a transparent background

Zoom this document to 1600 %

Select Pencil Tool. Set the brush size to 1 pixel, and make a simple dot like in the following image

Next go to Edit > Define Pattern ... . Select a name for your pattern and press OK

Then select the text layer, and add the following layer style

This is my result

Select all your text,

Then Change the color to white. this is my result

Now please follow my actions very carefully:

Step 1 - Press on CTRL+J ( this will duplicate the layer )
Step 2 - press on Left arrow key ( from your keyboard )
Step 3 - Press in Up arrow key ( from your keyboard )

Repeat this steps several times. I have done it 10 times, and this is my result

Now you can leave your text in this way or you can add some layer styles.
Select the first layer ( the one above the background layer )

So add this layer styles on all layers except background layer and " DIGITAL copy 10 " - this is my layer name.
Or with other words you have to apply the following layer styles to all your layers except the top and bottom layers from your layers palette

It will be good if you will create a new layer style , after that you can apply the same layer styles to all the layers except top and bottom layer.
This is my result

Now select the top layer , from your layer palette ( in my case the name of the layer is DIGITAL copy 10 )

And add the following layer styles

Normally you should have the pattern settings

This is my final result

I hope you like this tutorial
