Twiner is a minimalist design created by South Korean-based designer Giha Woo. This is another one of my Skim Milk posts that I love. The design is based off the combination of a pencil cup and a USB hub. The conception was to combine two items that are commonly seen on most peoples desks. As a result, Twiner amalgamates objects that exist in the same space but serve different purposes.
Although the aesthetic appears simple, there are a few details that really bring out the character in this piece. The contrasting glossy and matte materials accentuate its sleek, curvy structure and give it a soft appeal. The slightly protruding USB hub does not look out of place, and accents a playful demeanor to the design.
